Fall in Idaho is magical. While the vibrant fall foliage doesn’t last very long in the Gem State, it doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate all month long in one of the most beautiful destinations in Treasure Valley. Every Saturday throughout October, the Idaho Botanical Garden hosts the family-friendly Fall Harvest Festival. With vendors, food trucks, a Scarecrow Stroll, and gorgeous landscaping, this is one of the best ways to celebrate the fall season.
The Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise is one of the oldest of its kind in Idaho. Here, you will find 15 acres of incredible plants, colors, and landscaping. This area is home to both native and domestic plants in the intermountain region.
This annual fall event offers something for everyone. One of the biggest and most popular events is the Scarecrow Stroll. You can walk through the garden and see handmade and wildly creative scarecrows. You’ll want to make sure you vote for your favorite after you have enjoyed each and every one.
On the last Saturday of the month — October 29, 2022 — kids of all ages can participate in the costume parade. Whether your costume is spooky or cuddly, this is one parade that every ghost and ghoul will love.
There are also a number of vendors set up around the garden. These local artists and creators will have something for everyone. Vendors may differ from week to week, so make sure to visit multiple weeks to check it out.
During the 2022 Fall Harvest at the Garden events, tickets are based on age. If you are a member of the garden, admission is free. The event will take place every Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can learn more about this fall event on the Idaho Botanical Garden website.
