Preston, Idaho is known for the movie “Napoleon Dynamite.” It is also known for its beauty, history, and incredible recreational opportunities. But that’s not all this small town in southern Idaho has to offer. It is also home to Polar Bear Eats, a popular diner with some of the best burgers and milkshakes in Idaho. While this restaurant was closed for a time, it is once again open and you can enjoy some of your favorite diner foods.
The Polar Bear is one of southern Idaho’s favorite small-town diners. This small restaurant opened in 1952 and quickly made a name for itself. While it closed for a time, it is now open and back to serving the food that Preston residents have been craving.
Now known as Polar Bear Eats, this is a restaurant full of nostalgia but with a modern flair. It is a place where you can sit down with those you love, share favorite memories, and dive into some delicious foods.
This small-town diner is known for delicious, juicy burgers. From a traditional hamburger to a double-meat double-cheese burger, there is plenty to give your taste buds a treat.
Plus, there are many items you can add to your burger including bacon, ham, and fried onions. Multiple chicken items are also on the menu including a spicy chicken sandwich and chicken strips.
I just strongly recommend you save room for one of the milkshakes from Polar Bear Eats. This Preston drive-in was known for having some of the best milkshakes in the area and you will find it is still true today.
Other frozen treats include a polar freeze, float, sherbet, custard, and soft ice cream.
And, if you visit Polar Bear Eats before 10:45 a.m. each day, you can also choose from a handful of breakfast items including a breakfast sandwich, French toast sticks, or breakfast burrito. There’s no better way to start your day!
