Island Park is one of my favorite mountain towns in Idaho. This town is not only full of beautiful spots to explore but also hidden gem businesses and restaurants like the Lodgepole Grill. This exceptional rural restaurant in Island Park has a charming, rustic vibe and a menu that will excite you. Even better, it’s located inside a historic lodge, adding even more delight to this tasty place to eat.
The Lodgepole Grill is located at the Pines Resort in Island Park. You will find the restaurant inside the historic Phillips Lodge.
The Phillips Lodge dates back to the 1900s. It sits on the original homesteaded Uden Ranch from the late 1800s. The lodge was built in the 1930s and has had many purposes over the years but one of our favorites is being home to the Lodgepole Grill.
In 1997, Rick and Sheila Egan purchased the lodge and surrounding property, creating the resort and the Lodgepole Grill.

Inside this restaurant, you’ll be won over by the rustic charm. The large fireplace adds a home-like feel and the friendly faces will make you want to sit and stay for a while.
The Lodgepole Grill at Island Park serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is one of our favorite times to visit as you’ll find many favorites such as biscuits and gravy, French toast, and omelets.
You’ll have a hard time choosing what you want for lunch. While the menu isn’t large, there are several options sure to tempt you. Choose from items such as burgers, sandwiches, and chicken tenders. You can choose a delicious salad as well.
Of course, you’ll want to pair your meal with one of the signature drinks at the Lodgepole Grill such as a huckleberry daiquiri, Idaho sunset, and an Island Park breeze.
