Here in the Gem State, we are home to several riverfront parks that are perfect for a day spent outdoors. While there are several riverfront parks in Idaho, here are just nine of our favorites that deserve your attention.
Centennial Waterfront Park, Canyon Springs Rd, Twin Falls, ID 83301, USA
Centennial Waterfront Park sits right along the Snake River in Twin Falls and is an access point for both river and canyon recreational activities. Bring your camera to this park as you can capture views of the Perrine Memorial Bridge and Perrine Coulee Falls. You’ll also find a zipline (open seasonally), boat docks, trails, kayak rentals, and more at this park.

The Ribbon of Jewels is actually a series of parks located along the Boise River Greenbelt. Each park is named after a woman in the community who has contributed greatly to the Boise area. If you desire, you can travel from one park to another following the Boise River Greenbelt and the beautiful Boise River.

Kathryn Albertson Park, 1001 S Americana Blvd, Boise, ID 83706, USA
While technically a part of the Ribbon of Jewels along the Boise Greenbelt, Kathryn Albertson Park deserves a spot on our list all on its own. This 41-acre park is the perfect place to relax, go for a walk, and enjoy the wildlife. Here, you will find beautiful gazebos, large paths, inspiring water views, and so much more.

Boise Whitewater Park / Greenbelt, 318 E 34th St, Garden City, ID 83714, USA
Boise Whitewater Park may not be the quiet and relaxing riverfront park like others on our list, but it certainly deserves a visit. Located in downtown Boise, this whitewater park features artificial river surfing waves, perfect for surfers, kayakers, and boogie boarders. While you can always get in the water and experience an adrenaline rush, you can also just sit on the side and be entertained by the brave thrill-seekers.

Lakeview Park is 12-acres and offers many of your favorite city park amenities from a playground to tennis courts. However, in addition to the gorgeous river views that you’ll enjoy at this northern Idaho park, there is a museum, native plant arboretum, multiple walking trails, and a boat launch.
Atlas Mill Park, 2310 W Suzanne Rd, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814, USA
Atlas Mill Park is a 12.5-acre park that is located on the property of the former Atlas Mill. Here, you will find an accessible swim area, picnic area, kayak launch, water dog park, playground, and more. This is also one of the access points for the Centennial Trail.
Russ Freeman Park, 1290 Science Center Dr, Idaho Falls, ID 83402, USA
Russ Freeman Park is a large 60-acre park located along the Snake River in Idaho Falls. Here, you will not only find a war memorial, disco golf course, and large playground, but there are also multiple shelters, picnic areas, and baseball fields. Freeman Park also features multiple walking trails that connect to the beautiful Idaho Falls Greenbelt, a 10-mile paved trail along the Snake River.

Riverfront Park, Kamiah, ID 83536, USA
In the small town of Kamiah is the charming Riverfront Park. This city park sits along the Clearwater River and not only has plenty of green space for you to run on (or maybe take a nap on!), but you’ll also find a playground, pavilion, and restrooms. This city park is also the venue for many events and activities in Kamiah throughout the entire year.
