Here in Idaho, we are no strangers to incredible resorts. From large ski resorts to small, lesser-known destinations, there are locations all around the Gem State where you can enjoy the perfect winter day. Magic Mountain Ski Resort is one Idaho resort that has so much to offer, yet you typically don’t have to worry about the crowds like at many larger resorts. It’s a delightful place to spend the winter in Idaho, and you need to check it out.
Magic Mountain Ski Resort is located in the small town of Kimberly and if you want to spend a winter day outdoors, this is the place to go. This resort receives an annual snowfall of 230 inches, providing plenty of snow for a day on the slopes.
This mountain features 11 trails, with the longest run at approximately 5,200 feet. There are two trails dedicated to beginners, five trails for intermediate skiers, and four trails for experts.
If you are new to skiing and snowboarding, Magic Mountain can help you to perfect your skills. Not only does this resort provide equipment rentals, but you can also take lessons from experts on the mountain.
However, skiing and snowboarding aren’t the only activities you can enjoy at this Idaho ski resort. You can also spend your day on the Magic Mountain Resort Tubing Hill.
Snow tubing is available every Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter, as well as daily during the holiday season. All tickets include an innertube rental and children as young as two years old can ride down the lane on the lap of an adult.
Magic Mountain Resort may not offer all of the glitz and glamor that a handful of other resorts in Idaho may provide, but for a winter day in Idaho, this resort will not disappoint. It’s beautiful, family-friendly, and the perfect outdoor getaway.
