The Pie Safe Bakery & Kitchen is located in a historic building at First and Main Street. This is a wonderful hidden gem that is bound to blow you away and make your sweet tooth happy at the same time.
The bakery is just a couple years old but it definitely has an old-fashioned charm to it. In fact, you'll swear you've been transported to a bygone era of some sort—back to a time when every town had a local pie shop.
Their handmade pies are made fresh from scratch and they are absolutely to die for. They taste just like how grandma made them! You'll want to buy a slice to devour right away and then a few pies to-go on top of that. They boast a rotating selection of pies every day, including all of the classics.
Their pies aren't the only thing they've got goin' on. Every morning their bakery churns out the most delicious baked goods, including cookies, scones, bear claws, croissants, and cream puffs. Is this Paris or small town Idaho? It's hard to tell in here.
One of the coolest aspects of The Pie Safe is that they teamed up with Brush Creek Creamery, an award-winning cheesemaker also located in Deary. Watch through the observation window as the cheesemakers hand make their famous brie, blue, cheddar, and Montasio cheeses right in front of your eyes! And buy some to take home, as well.
The Pie Safe also contains a full-on kitchen so be sure to indulge in one of their elegant and mouthwatering brick-oven pizzas, paninis, soups, or salads.
You'll also find that the bakery contains a wonderful little gift shop which contains a plethora of jams, jellies, farm and garden produce, and much more. Is there anything this place doesn't have?
