As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
The best multi-day adventures include a cozy, unique, and delightful place to spend the night. You’ll find all of that and much more when you spend the night at the Haight Home Bed and Breakfast in Oakley. This historic home in Idaho is not only beautiful, but it has an interesting history and will take you back in time when you visit.
The Haight Home Bed and Breakfast is located in the small town of Oakley in Cassia County. This historic Victorian home is a place where you can not only take a step back in time but you can have an overnight adventure.
This home was built in 1895 by Hector C. Haight. He was the father of Elder David B. Haight of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Today, the home is on the National Historic Registry.
Walking into the building, you will feel like you traveled into the early 1900s. There are features all over the property that give you a glimpse into what this home was like more than a century ago.
There are limited bedrooms in this bed and breakfast, so you’ll want to make your reservation early. Each room can comfortably sleep two adults or four adults if you choose to stay in the loft. This bed and breakfast respectfully asks that all children and pets be left at home as a courtesy to other guests.
If you choose to rent the entire home, there are enough beds to sleep up to nine guests. However, there is a limit of 15 people total during your stay.
While the inside will certainly make you feel like you’ve taken a step back in time, take some time to walk around the outside of this historic Idaho home as well. This area will make you fall in love with the property.
If you are searching for an overnight adventure that is beautiful, cozy, and even historic, book a stay at this Haight Home Bed and Breakfast. It may just be the accommodation you are searching for.
