If you know me, you know that I love everything about fall. I love leaf peeping, the cooler weather, and pumpkin spice everything. But, I especially love visiting a pumpkin patch or corn maze. I currently live in southeastern Idaho where agricultural roots run deep. Because of this, there are several pumpkin patches and corn mazes that keep my fall bucket list quite full. However, there is one that I couldn’t wait to take my entire family to check out — New Sweden Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Idaho Falls.
New Sweden Farms is located on the western side of Idaho Falls. It first opened in 2017 and is family-owned and operated. The minute you arrive, an autumn spirit immediately envelopes you.
This corn maze and pumpkin patch is the perfect family day trip in Idaho. My husband and three young children (ages 11, 7, and 4) came along for the adventure and even after spending several hours here, there were still tears when I said it was time to go.
At New Sweden Farms, the corn maze is a highlight and an activity that all ages can enjoy. But, it’s not just one corn maze, there are two! Each maze boasts a different design and one is easier than the other.
My two sons were pretty adamant we tackle the harder maze, so we did. We may have become lost more times than I can count but we sure had a lot of laughs along the way.
Right in the middle of the farm is a giant pumpkin patch with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. In fact, with so many options, it is almost impossible to choose the perfect one to take home with you.
Keep in mind that the pumpkins are an additional cost.
And while the corn maze and pumpkin patch are certainly highlights of New Sweden Farms, they are only the beginning of the activities scattered around the farm.
New Sweden Farms also offers a u-pick flower farm where you can even design your own fresh flower bouquet, complete with a pumpkin vase. I didn't have the chance to build my own flower bouquet but I have plans to return.
In total, we spent nearly three hours exploring New Sweden Farms and could easily have spent longer. The farm is open Tuesday through Saturday and is closed Sundays and Mondays.
Several ticket options are available including children, adult, and family passes. You can also choose between one-day passes or season passes.
New Sweden Farms in Idaho Falls was the perfect addition to my fall bucket list. It was a great way to spend time with family and this likely won’t be the only time we visit.
