All across Idaho, you will find some incredible hidden gems. One of these comes in the form of a boardwalk trail in northern Idaho. The Blackwell Island Wetland Trail is where you can see wildlife, capture remarkable views of the Spokane River, and so much more. It is a true treasure near Coeur d’Alene.
Be aware there is a small day-use fee to visit this recreation site and it is also only open seasonally each year. You can learn more on the Bureau of Land Management website.
Have you ever been to the Blackwell Island Recreation Site or explored the Westland Trail? We’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments. If you are in southern Idaho and looking for an incredible boardwalk trail, check out the trail that takes you to the majestic Upper Mesa Falls.
