Winter is such a glorious time for Idaho. It’s the one time a year that the entire state turns into a snowy wonderland. Many regions of Idaho even look like they could be scenes straight out of a snow globe. Labelle Lake is a remote retreat in Rigby, Idaho which resembles the most picturesque scenes of winter. This year they took it to another level by building an actual ice castle on their property. This gigantic ice structure is incredible, and needs to be witnessed in person to be appreciated fully.
Labelle Lake is a hidden gem located in eastern Idaho. This incredible retreat is comprised of a beautiful 7,000 square foot cabin surrounded by 7 acres of the most beautiful surroundings. The cabin is a picturesque venue for weddings, reunions, retreats, and more.
The place is absolutely stunning all year long. However, this year they really went all out by constructing a gigantic Ice Palace right in front of the cabin.
The Ice Palace is complete with lights, slides, snow, and even an ice throne. It's a magnificent structure that is truly unique. Both kids and adults will be blown away as they stroll through this beautiful palace.
Incredible creations made of ice aren't a typical sight here. It seems like the type of attraction you would only find in Nordic countries. This just proves that Idaho really does have it all!
Stroll through the castle in wonder as the passages light up with vibrant colors. Kids will absolutely love exploring the different hallways and sliding down the ice slide.
Public tours officially began on January 5th and will continue every day until the ice melts. The palace is open to visitors every night beginning at 6 pm, but is closed on Sundays. Tickets are just $10 for adults and $7 for children.
Entertainment is provided at the Ice Palace on weekends and complimentary hot cocoa is served on the premises. This is the first year Labelle Lake has constructed the Ice Palace, and they expect the attraction to get bigger and better with every year.
You'll find the Labelle Lake Ice Palace at 678 N 4212 E, Rigby, ID 83442. For more information on this unique attraction, you can visit their website
