Idaho sure looked a LOT different in the 19th century. During its early days, the Gem State was filled with fur traders, pioneers, gold seekers, trappers, and other historic figures, and Fort Hall was at the center of it. Located on the banks of the Snake River, the historic fort played a prominent role in creating Idaho as we know it today. The original fort structure is long gone, but a replica was made in its place during Idaho’s territorial centennial. Visiting the historic attraction today is definitely an educational experience, but most importantly, it’s a journey into our state’s past.
