Niche recently performed a study that rated every incorporated city in Idaho on the basis of obesity levels, access to medical care, drinking and smoking habits, and much more to determine not just which cities in Idaho are healthiest in terms of physical activity, but on a deeper level of health as it pertains to the body as a whole. Without further ado, here are the top 10 healthiest cities in Idaho.

Obesity: 26.6 %
Moscow gets high marks for easy access to fitness facilities, fresh foods and farmers markets, and an active lifestyle, but a high level of alcohol consumption in this college town (21.7%) makes it barely squeeze into the Top 10.

Obesity: 29.5 %
While Idaho Falls has the highest obesity rate of any city on the list, its low rate of alcohol and tobacco consumption gives this quaint city a boost.

Obesity: 24.6 %
As a bustling resort and waterfront town, being beach-body ready is a priority for many residents here in Northern Idaho. CDA gets an 'A' grade for overall access to healthcare and fitness centers.

With the highest adjusted gross income in the state comes quick and easy access to personal trainers, home gyms, and healthy foods, making Eagle residents some of the healthiest in the state.

As a rural town that has quick access to all of the amenities found in the capital, Kuna has a healthy advantage over other similarly-sized areas.

Garden City earns the middle spot on our list for well-rounded scores in every category.

Boise has been making lists of the nation's healthiest cities for years, and even recently earned the top spot in Men's Health Magazine as the healthiest city in the country. A diverse range of recreation opportunities - including easy access to hiking trails and the scenic Boise River Greenbelt - means Boise earns top marks. However, a large number of local breweries and excessive drinking rate keeps it out of the top 3.

Meridian is another Idaho city that continues to top national lists. As a thriving, family-friendly community, access to every kind of healthcare facility is unrivaled anywhere else in the state.

Obesity: 18.7%
This scenic town in the Wood River Valley automatically gets high marks for its low obesity levels, courtesy of a thriving sheep herding industry. Excessive drinking (27%) keeps Hailey from earning the top spot, however.

Obesity: 25.9%
Nearly nonexistent alcohol and tobacco usage (3.2% and 3.1%, respectively) helps Rexburg earn top honors in terms of resident health. As a mid-sized city, convenient access to healthcare and fitness opportunities also allows residents to maintain their health from the inside out.
