The Haunted Swamp is back...with a vengeance! Located in Twin Falls, this annual outdoor haunt is one of the spookiest in the state, so enter only if you dare.
The Haunted Swamp is a thrill-filled attraction that is officially in its 12th year of delivering frights. It's currently open every Friday and Saturday through October 31. The ticket booth opens at 7:30 p.m., with the last ticket selling at 11:00 p.m.
The attraction started out as a fundraiser for Magic Mountain Resort's ski patrol and ski instructors. It's grown a lot over the years, and it seems to get a bit bigger and scarier with each Halloween. Complete with props, costumes, and extravagant sets, this attraction pulls out all the stops to deliver a horrifying experience.
Visiting the Haunted Swamp consists of a 1-mile walk through outdoor terrain. Although the area is scenic with rivers, bridges, and trees, you'll be more focused on the ghosts, goblins, and zombies that are waiting around every corner!
On a typical night, there are about 60 to 75 scare actors waiting for those who enter the swamp, so be sure to bring a friend (or two or three) for moral support. The cost is $20 for adults, $12 for kids 3 to 8, and $15 for kids 9 to 12.
For a more kid-friendly experience, consider attending the swamp's Kiddie Day. This year's Kiddie Day takes place on October 17 and includes fun activities like hair painting, face painting, games, slides, prizes, and trick or treating.
