Idaho is full of wonderful small towns with beautiful views, great places to eat, and fascinating histories. However, Grace is one small town, located in the southeastern part of the state, that many Idahoans don’t even know exists. This beautiful small town is in close proximity to many hidden gems and is the perfect day trip in Idaho for the entire family.
Grace is home to more than 1,000 Idahoans. This rural town is approximately one hour from both Pocatello, Idaho, and Logan, Utah.
The Niter Ice Cave was formed thousands of years ago when a volcanic eruption formed a huge lava tube, which eventually created the cave. When pioneers came to the area, they would use the cave as a place to store food and ice throughout the year.
Black Canyon is another hidden gem in Idaho that is found near Grace.
Black Canyon is a deep gorge of black, solid lava rock. The Bear River flows through the canyon and has created a popular place for fishermen, experienced kayakers, and individuals who simply want to enjoy a quiet day outdoors.
