Sometimes, the best things are found in the most unexpected places. That’s certainly the case with Mitchell’s Restaurant in Idaho Falls. Tucked away at a KJ’s Travel Center on Iona Road in Idaho Falls, this is one delicious place to eat regardless of the time of day. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and your taste buds will be in for a delicious surprise.
Located at the KJ’s Travel Center in Idaho Falls, Mitchell’s Restaurant has been serving homestyle cooking to travelers and locals for more than 30 years.
From the outside, this restaurant is quite unassuming, and even inside, its simple décor isn’t anything that will instantly impress. However, it’s the food that you’ll be thinking about for weeks to come.
For lunch, you may want to grab one of the delicious burgers or sandwiches on the menu. I will never turn down a good burger and at Mitchell’s Restaurant, there are several options to choose from. Plus, each burger comes with your choice of fresh-cut fries, house-made potato chips, tater tots, or onion rings.
There is nothing small about the portions from the dinner menu. And you’ll see entrees on the menu that you wouldn’t expect at a travel center like a half-pound fish dinner, top sirloin, shrimp, pot roast, finger steaks, and more.
All of the dinner entrees include your choice of a potato, vegetable, and a roll. You can also add a soup or salad for an additional cost.
I can never say no to a delicious dessert and the options at Mitchell's Restaurant are excellent. While you can choose from a slice of pie or sundae, I recommend a cinnamon roll.
Mitchell’s Restaurant is home-style cooking at its best. It’s not a restaurant you’d expect in its location but it’s one that you’ll always be grateful to discover.
