One of our favorite things about living in Idaho is the fact that there is never a shortage of farm-fresh goods. Just take a drive down any random country road and you’re bound to come across a charming farm stand selling freshly picked fruits and vegetables. In fact, there’s one farm stand in particular that has made a name for itself among Idahoans in the eastern region of our state. Serving up delicious produce all summer and into the fall, it’s simply a must-visit for a taste of homegrown goodness.
Hiding out right along Highway 93 near Twin Falls is a lovely farm stand that's blossomed into a must-visit spot for delicious produce. A Farmer's Marketplace (known locally as Sprouts) is open all summer and well into fall, and you'll want to stop by pronto.
A Farmer's Marketplace is the place to go when you find yourself in the mood for high-quality and locally sourced food. Managed by Blue Rock Farms, a family-run farm in Buhl, the produce here couldn't be any fresher—or more delicious.
The farm itself is comprised of over 50-acres and they grow pretty much every type of fruit and vegetable you can imagine. What the farm stand stocks on any given day is of course dependent on the time of year, but carrots, corn, onions, tomatoes, and berries are all season-long staples.
Summer simply isn't complete until you've indulged in an exorbitant amount of cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, pears, and nectarines. Southern Idaho has the ideal climate for growing these yummy fruits, so you can rest assured you'll be going home with some fine-tasting fruits.
However, fresh produce isn't the only thing this farm stand specializes in. During your visit, you'll also come across their wide selection of baked goods. Baked fresh daily, you won't be able to resist going home with a loaf of bread, fruit pie, or plate of their famous sweet rolls.
Don't sweat it if you don't think you can make it before summer ends. The marketplace is open and selling produce through October. In fact, the farm stand turns into an amazing fall attraction that is much more than a produce shopping experience.
During fall, The Sprouts Pumpkin Patch and Twin Falls Corn Maze comes to life. Boasting a 12-acre corn maze, apple cannon, slides, hay rides, and of course, a giant pumpkin patch, a visit to the farm stand becomes a wonderful family outing during this time of year.
You're bound to be hooked after just one visit to this wonderful farm stand. The next time you need some homegrown produce in your life, skip the grocery store and run straight to A Farmer's Marketplace!
A Farmer's Marketplace is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Address: 1705 Grandview Dr N, Twin Falls, ID 83301
