Founded in 1964, Volcanic Farms is a family owned and operated farm in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. Their selection of fresh garden produce is great, but it's the pies that have truly made this place famous!
After being dissatisfied with how their produce was being handled, Volcanic Farms opened their own little produce stand in 1986. Since then, the stand has gained a huge following of loyal customers. The farm stand is still located right along Highway 55, and it's a must-stop when passing through.
The farm stand is a great place to pick up some fresh produce when you need it. They also sell farm fresh eggs, assorted jams and jellies, pickled asparagus, and handmade salsa.
However, the farm's real claim to fame is its selection of pies. These freshly-baked pies are extremely popular. People come from all around to get their hands on some, and the farm's small kitchen is often inundated with orders.
It's easy to see what all the fuss is about! Created with handmade pie crusts and farm-grown fruit when possible, these pies are simply heavenly. They typically have a variety of flavors available including huckleberry, marionberry, cherry, strawberry rhubarb, apple, and pumpkin.
One thing's for sure, these pies are worth the drive. Many customers like to stock up and freeze them to enjoy later. The farm stand is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Stop by anytime to get your pie fix!
