Idaho is known for having four distinct seasons and Fall is the favorite for many. Why? Because the scenery is exceptional during this time of year and the weather is at that perfect point where it’s more than bearable being outdoors… it’s desired! This small Idaho town is a must-visit during the Fall season for this reason. Although many may think of McCall, Idaho as a town that peaks during the summer or winter, it’s actually just as great (if not better) to visit during Autumn. The fall colors are at their peak at this time of year and there are still so many outdoor activities to enjoy before winter comes. If you’re looking for the perfect place to go on a Fall excursion, McCall is it.
McCall is the perfect town to get in some last-minute outdoor adventures before the cold and snow start coming in. Not only is the area simply stunning when the fall foliage starts to pop, but McCall is like a giant playground for those who love the outdoors.
First on your list should be a visit to the magically serene Burgdorf Hot Springs.
These hot springs are simply divine. Tucked away in the mountains north of McCall, there's no better place to relax by soaking in the soothing mineral water.
There are also plenty of options for camping or cabin rentals at Burgdorf if you find that you just don't want to leave! This rustic getaway is the perfect day trip for feeling a million miles away from it all.
