For instance, the East Idaho Fair Food Tour is bringing one of the highlights of summer directly to you. A handful of beloved fair food vendors will be traveling around East Idaho to serve you their beyond-delicious, spectacularly-greasy fair food. Everybody knows that the best part of attending the fair every summer is indulging in mass amounts of delicious and perfectly over-the-top fair food. If your local fair has been canceled, don't fret. You can still enjoy all of your favorites with the East Idaho Fair Food Tour.
Fairs all across Idaho have either been significantly altered or canceled entirely due to COVID-19—definitely a bummer! This was also bad news for food truck operators, so several local food vendors decided to make the best of a crummy situation by creating a food tour that would bring amazing fair delicacies directly to the community.
The first round of the fair food tour took place from July 16 through August 13, and it was a massive success. In fact, it was so popular that the vendors decided to extend the tour. A second tour is now scheduled to take place from September 4 through October 2.
Events will be hosted every Friday throughout the tour at different cities across East Idaho. Events will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at every stop, except for certain dates when the hours are extended to 9:00 p.m. Gate admission is free.
The tour will include some of the most popular fair food vendors in the area, including Reed's Dairy, Dinky Donuts, La Casita, Blackhawk BBQ, and Mexican Crazy Corn. Be sure to come with a big appetite because you'll want to try a little bit of everything!
The tour is scheduled to be at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds in Blackfoot from September 4-September 8, at Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet in Rigby on September 11, at Sam's Club in Idaho Falls on September 18, at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds on September 25, and at Hirning GMC in Pocatello on October 2.
This tour is a great idea for helping local businesses while satiating your craving for your favorite fair food! Don't miss out on this unique event if you live in one of these cities, and stay updated by visiting the East Idaho Fair Food Tour Facebook page.
