The Halloween season will be here in just a few weeks and that means it's time to start planning all the spooky festivities you'd like to take part in. Something you'll definitely want to consider is spending an evening at the zoo for this annual Halloween-themed experience.
Every year, Zoo Boise puts on an event called Spooktacular Evenings. The event usually runs for an entire weekend in the month of October. This year, it will take place from October 11 through October 13 and October 18 through October 20.
Although it takes place during the evening, the event is totally family friendly and designed to be a "merry-not-scary fun-fest" that everybody, both young and old, can enjoy.
Spooktacular Evenings give families the unique opportunity to visit the zoo at night. However, it's much more than your average zoo-going experience. The event also features a variety of fun Halloween displays, activities, and special entertainment.
Of course, there will be a myriad of up-close animal encounters just waiting to be taken advantage of. Get closer to the animals than ever during this evening experience and create unforgettable memories with the kiddos!
And yes, costumes are highly encouraged. Although, you may want to wait until the annual Boo at the Zoo event which takes place on October 26 to officially unveil that costume. More information on that event can be found here.
Take part in a new family tradition and be sure to attend one of the nights at Zoo Boise's Spooktacular Evenings. Hours are 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays.
