There are days when a trip to simpler times sounds magical. While we don’t have time machines to travel into years gone by, there are still a few places in Idaho that allow us to immerse ourselves in nostalgia for the past. Dixie’s Diner in Idaho Falls is one of these places. Not only will you enjoy some of the best food in southeastern Idaho, but you will also feel like you’ve just stepped back in time.
Dixie’s Diner is an old-school '50s-themed restaurant located on Channing Way in Idaho Falls. This restaurant is well known in Idaho Falls and the surrounding communities - and for good reason.
While the exterior looks like it came straight from the '50s, you’ll really feel like you’ve stepped out of a time machine when you walk in its front doors. This diner features retro décor and you’ll find little details that will take you back in time.
And while the atmosphere is incredible, so is the food. Dixie’s Diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and no matter what time of day you visit, you’ll have LOTS of choices.
Breakfast is served all day at Dixie’s Diner and there are dozens of options on the menu. Enjoy an omelet or a stack of pancakes. You can even build your own breakfast complete with two eggs, your choice of meat, potatoes, toast, and more.
If you stop by for lunch or dinner, make sure you come hungry because you will certainly leave with a full stomach. The menu is extensive and offers entrees like chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, and even seafood.
And, of course, you can’t stop by a '50s diner without a milkshake! If you are too full after eating your meal, no worries. Simply take your shake to go!
