There are some pretty interesting towns in Idaho. For example, American Falls in southeastern Idaho was completely relocated not once … but twice! The small town of Wallace claims to be the Center of the Universe. And that’s just the beginning. Well, Oldtown, Idaho is another small town with an interesting history. As a suburb of Newport, Washington, this community straddles the Washington and Idaho state line and it lies along the beautiful Pend Oreille River. It’s one unique destination with an interesting history, lots of beauty, and plenty to do.
Did you know the history of Oldtown and Newport? Have you been to this area of the state? Let us know in the comments! And, if you’d love to discover even more charming small towns in Idaho that are worthy of a visit, check out our list of several communities everyone should visit at least once.
