To help reduce crime and make this river walk a safer place for all individuals, a Greenbelt Patrol was established. This group consists of volunteers who patrol the paved path in carts and bicycles. If they see anything suspicious, they immediately alert law enforcement.

While the Boise River Greenbelt is a delightful place for a family stroll, a jog, or to spend some time outdoors, it is important that you are always vigilant and alert.

Be aware of your surroundings, pay attention to others, avoid visiting alone, and do not explore during the night. Remember, this river walk is only open from sunrise to sunset each day.
