It doesn’t matter the time of year; here in Idaho, we love ice cream. But that’s not all. We also love milk – white, chocolate, and even some pretty unique flavors, it all is delicious! No matter what dairy products you love, you must plan a visit to Reed’s Dairy in Idaho Falls. One of the most popular dairies in eastern Idaho, this incredible dairy farm produces and sells some of the best ice cream, flavored milk, and cheese in Idaho. This is one attraction that you’ll find yourself visiting over and over again.
Reed’s Dairy Farm is a four-generation farm in eastern Idaho. Beginning in 1955 in Idaho Falls, the Reed Family actually started as a milk delivery business with just a few family members. However, pretty soon, the whole family was involved.
This dairy farm is home to approximately 250 Holstein cows, which provide all of the milk for the delivery service in eastern and western Idaho. But this milk doesn’t have to be delivered right to your front door to enjoy it. Rather, you can visit a store and purchase some for yourself.
Reed’s Dairy Farm features multiple retail locations, but located on the west side of Idaho Falls is where you will find a store, dairy, petting zoo, and more.
Reed’s Dairy is well-known for producing delicious ice cream. In fact, many visitors refer to this dairy farm as producing the best ice cream in Idaho. In the store, you will find more than 80 ice cream flavors ranging from traditional flavors like vanilla and chocolate to some a little more unique, like huckleberry.
The stores are also where you can purchase flavored milk. One of the dairy's most popular products is its chocolate milk, of course. But there are many other flavors you will want to try, like peaches and cream, old-fashioned vanilla, and root beer.
When you stop by Reed’s Dairy Farm stores, you can also purchase other items as well like cheese curds and eggnog, which is one of its most popular products during the holiday season.
And for lunch, grab a delicious grilled cheese sandwich. These sandwiches are packed with cheese and cooked to perfection — it’s a terrific budget-friendly lunch choice!
But the food isn’t the only reason you’ll want to stop by Reed’s Dairy on the west side of Idaho Falls. Here, you can step outside and visit its petting zoo. You’ll find all types of adorable animals like pigs, goats, a lamb, and more.
The dairy farm also hosts multiple community events throughout the year, including a large celebration on National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. This special day is when the store serves pancakes or French toast and its popular ice cream for breakfast. Basically, it's the perfect start to the day.
No matter whether you want some ice cream, flavored milk, cheese curds, or eggnog, or you just want to spend time with adorable farm animals, you’ll find it at Reed’s Dairy Farm in Idaho Falls.
You can learn more about this dairy, including its hours, menu, and retail locations, on its website. Check out its Facebook page for information and news on upcoming events as well.
