It’s always exciting to see an Idaho restaurant make national headlines, especially if it’s a restaurant that usually flies under the radar. That’s why we were so delighted to see that a small brunch spot in Coeur d’Alene by the name of Ten/6 was what made the list of Yelp’s Top 100 Places To Eat In 2020 . Although we can think of plenty of Idaho eateries that are worthy of such a title, we can definitely see why they chose this awesome little spot in North Idaho. Boasting a whimsical wonderland theme and Cajun-inspired dishes, this place is simply a must for any Idaho foodie.
Idaho's dining scene continues to impress us, and it looks like it may be gaining some national attention too. The good people at Yelp recently compiled a list of "America's Top 100 Places To Eat In 2020," and coming in at #94 was our very own Ten/6 in Coeur d'Alene.
To determine which restaurants made the list, Yelp's data science team used ratings and number of reviews in 2019 to decipher which restaurants were top-rated nationally. The result was a list that is full of unique and quirky eateries, including Ten/6.
Boasting a whimsical "Alice in Wonderland"-themed vibe, Ten/6 is one of the most interesting places to enjoy a meal in Coeur d'Alene. It only opened a few years ago in 2017, but it's already gained a reputation as the best brunch spot in town. We see why!
Ten/6 is far from your typical hashbrowns-and-eggs type of brunch spot. Instead, guests are treated to a menu that is just as eccentric as the surroundings. Directly inspired by the flavorful cuisine of Louisiana, you'll spot iconic Cajun dishes like Red Beans and Rice and Jambalaya.
You'll be especially enchanted by this restaurant if you're an egg eater. Boasting mouthwatering dishes like a Quiche of the Day or Eggs Royal—two poached eggs served on crisp English muffins and covered in a gruyere béchamel—this eatery is absolutely eggcellent.
Don't forget the restaurant's most iconic dish—Vieux Carre Beignets. This traditional favorite is similar to a donut or fritter, but it also boasts its own unique traits. Comprised of airy pockets with a crispy exterior and a layer of powdered sugar, these delicacies are a must when you visit Ten/6.
Ten/6 is showing us that brunch can be so much more than bacon 'n eggs, and that's exactly why it's worthy of being named one of the top restaurants to visit in the country this year. The beautiful and eccentric atmosphere is just the cherry on top.
