Every Idahoan knows that some of the best restaurants worth eating at are the ones that require a little searching to get to. It’s easy to miss the restaurant featured here. From it’s location and appearance, you wouldn’t expect some of the best grub and brews to be hiding inside of it. It may take some time trying to find it, but City Limits Brew Pub is definitely worth the drive.
We've featured Wallace a few times before in our articles, and that's because this quaint northern Idaho town always has something unique and interesting to offer. Not to mention the fact that Wallace is surrounded by some of the most absolutely gorgeous forest scenery.
Fall is a great time to visit this incredible town. Colors like scarlet, amber, and gold pop against the green forestry.
Located in what looks more like a small warehouse on the side of a not-so-traveled road in Wallace is the City Limits Brew Pub.
It may not look like much, but you'll surely be surprised once you step inside this amazing hidden gem.
City Limits is both a restaurant and a brewery. North Idaho Mountain Brew handcrafts delicious local beer in the same exact place you're enjoying some incredible noms.
The interior has a very "pub-like" vibe. This is a place where the locals come to hang out. It's a restaurant, but most importantly, it's a community space for strangers to come together and have a good time.
Beer is an important part of this north Idaho town's history, and it really shows. If you can't decide which of their brewed-on-site beers you'd like to commit to, you can always just try them all.
It's crazy to think that inside of this unassuming building is both top notch food and brews.
Of course, the food is what will have you coming back for more. An absolute must-have when you first come in is an order of City Limits Wings. They do this classic appetizer right.
The menu is comprised of typical pub fare, along with some surprising specialties.
You'll have your choice of a variety of different types of burgers. Choose the "Classic Burger" if you're feeling traditional but if you feel like branching out, you absolutely have to try the Maple Burger (a burger topped with maple syrup, sweet potato fries, provolone cheese, and maple-covered bacon).
City Limits has pretty much anything you could be in the mood for on the menu, including fish tacos with beer-battered cod.
From burgers and sandwiches, to steak and pasta...this place has everything you could want.
Have you been to City Limits Pub before? How’d you like it? What’s your favorite small town restaurant?
