Clear your calendar for July 14, because you'll definitely want to make time to attend this mouthwatering BBQ festival in Idaho. This festival is guaranteed to be one of the biggest food events of the summer, and you definitely don't want to miss out!
The festival is called "From the Ashes" and it will take place at Settlers Creek in Coeur d'Alene. Settlers Creek is a beautiful venue located on a historic farmstead and it's the perfect location for such an epic event.
The festival will feature unique and custom-built wood fired culinary equipment to produce some seriously delicious smoked and grilled meats. They definitely aren't messing around.
However, the most exciting aspect of the festival is the fact that nationally-recognized Pitmasters from all over the country will be doing the barbecuing. Pitmasters from places like San Antonio, New York, and Charleston will be featured, along with several local BBQ joints.
The focus of the festival is "real world application". Attendees of the festival are encouraged not just to eat all of the meat they can muster, but to learn all about various barbecue styles that they can then execute at home.
Be sure to wash down all that barbecue with a crisp and refreshing glass of local cider. Local cider houses such as North Idaho Cider and Coeur d'Alene Cider Company will be in attendance, along with several wineries and breweries.
