Just outside of Eagle, Idaho is a lavender farm that is perfect in every way. With multiple types of lavender, hundreds of home-grown products for sale, and the most beautiful grounds to explore, this lavender farm is one Idaho destination that will leave you impressed. While this Idaho lavender farm Is delightful to visit any time, during the annual Lavender Harvest Festival, this gorgeous farm truly comes to life.
Red Chair Lavender is located northeast of Eagle and was once just a hay field. After years of hard work and patience, owners Bill and Wendy transformed the fields into a gorgeous lavender farm that has become a favorite place to visit for Idahoans and out-of-state guests.
Today, Red Chair Lavender grows more than 30 varieties of lavender. The plants grown on this farm are used in more than 100 homemade products and sold in both fresh and dried bunches.
Each year in early July, Red Chair Lavender hosts an annual Lavender Harvest Festival, a family-friendly event with activities, food, and of course, lots of lavender.
This two-day event is packed with lavender harvesting. You can pick and bundle your own fresh lavender to take home. You can even choose the type of lavender you desire or mix and match — there are so many possibilities!
This festival is the perfect way to relax, enjoy good company, and bask in the views of the farm. Sit back and enjoy live music and grab a delicious treat as well.
There will be multiple food vendors at this festival — some quite popular in the Boise area. You’ll have several options, making it easy to satisfy your cravings, and you certainly won't go hungry.
Give yourself plenty of time to shop at many of the other vendors who will be at the festival. You will find all types of treasures and fabulous products on sale from clothing to candles to baked goods and more.
Bring your entire family along as there truly is something for everyone. Spend some time completing crafts, checking out the alpacas, and even admiring the classic cars on display and for sale.
