One of the most notable coffee shops in this region of the state is Flying M Coffee Garage in the city of Nampa. This unique local gem is a must-visit for any coffee lover and you're about to see why.
It'll quickly dawn on you that Flying M isn't like any coffee shop you've been to before. After all, it's located in a renovated garage of all places. The 6,000-square-foot Firestone garage definitely doesn't look like your typical coffee joint, but that's why it's so amazing.
This place is wonderfully quirky in every way possible. It's easy to see why the locals hold this place so close to their hearts. The mix-matched furniture. The eclectic decor. Oh, and the amazing coffee. It's the perfect place to unwind and sip on a hot cup o' joe.
Flying M Coffee Garage is one of three locations throughout the Treasure Valley. The first location was opened in downtown Boise in 1995 and the Nampa location followed in 2006. A third location opened just this year in Caldwell.
The Coffee Garage in Nampa is by far their most unique location. The large structure holds an espresso and pastry bar, gift shop, event stage, and roasting room. Coffee may be it's main forte but this place is much more than a coffee shop. It's a place for the community to come together.
All of their delicious baked goods are created in-house every single morning. They offer everything from scones to bagels, and you definitely can't go wrong with one of their famous turnovers. The bacon and jalapeno turnover is a personal favorite of mine.
Of course, their coffee is some of the best you'll find in Idaho. Each cup is made with coffee beans that have been consciously sourced and roasted in small batches here at the Coffee Garage. This ain't no Starbucks, that's for sure.
Flying M was one of the first Treasure Valley coffee shops to put Idaho on the map for coffee. The love that locals have for this place is just a testament to the wonderful community that you'll find here. The next time you're in the need of a little pick-me-up, be sure to pay them a visit!
