Tucked away in the Sawtooth Valley and about 21 miles south of Stanley, Alturas Lake is a glistening gem in central Idaho. As the second largest lake in the Sawtooths, it's well worth visiting to experience for yourself.

The mountain lake can be accessed from State Highway 75, via Sawtooth National Forest Road 205. With a surface area of 835-acres of bright and clear water, the lake is a sight that impresses from the moment you lay eyes on it.
