It seems like a new winery or brewery pops up every other day here in Idaho. The brew and wine scene are bigger than ever in the Gem State and we honestly couldn't be any more excited. After all, beer and wine just tastes better when it's local.
2. You recognize that winter adventures are sometimes the best adventures.
People who live in other states may think that summer is for adventures, but here in Idaho we know the truth. It's all about winter explorations here! Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, etc. The list goes on and on.

With a population of just 1.7 million spread out over 83,642 square miles, we have plenty of space for ourselves here in Idaho. And trust us, that's just the way we like it.
4. You prefer function over fashion.
Real Idahoans have about a dozen different outdoor jackets in their closet, each one perfect for a different scenario. Not mention sturdy boots, warm socks, and shirts made of sweat-wicking material! That's just how us Idahoans do it.

We're all about close community here in our state. We don't think twice about helping out someone in need or simply holding the door open for the person behind us.

If there's one thing that signifies a real Idahoan, it's a deep love for our natural surroundings. After all, we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. So naturally, we hold our outdoor landscapes close to our hearts.

Speaking of nature lovers—If you ask an Idahoan what they're doing for the weekend, chances are they'll reply with plans of fishing, hunting, camping, or simply exploring the outdoors. We don't need any other types of entertainment when spaces like this are right outside our doors!
8. Predictable weather bores you, and you're well-versed in talking about the weather in conversation.
Snow in the summer? Random thunderstorms that last for only a few minutes? We've seen it all and nothing really surprises us anymore. However, that doesn't stop us from working the topic of weather into conversation whenever we get a chance.
