After college, she chose to trade in her winter boots for slippahs and moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, where she has been living for more than five years. She lives on the west side but is constantly taking mini-road trips across the island and visits the neighboring islands whenever she can getaway. She loves hiking, snorkeling, locally-grown coffee, and finding the best acai bowl on Oahu.
When most people think of Hawaii, it’s the gorgeous island of Maui that comes to mind: With a plethora of beach resorts, outdoor activities, world-class beaches and diverse geography, the Valley Isle is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in Hawaii. And even though Maui is known as a tourist mecca, you can still find seclusion – if you know where to look. Nowhere will you find more natural beauty, charm, and peace than in upcountry Maui at this charming little bistro that looks as though it was ripped from the pages of your favorite fairy tale. This is La Provence, a magnificent French restaurant sure to impress.
Nestled in the heart of Kula on the slopes of Mount Haleakala is this family-owned restaurant and bakery known for serving up some of the greatest French cuisine, and pastries, you will find in all of Hawaii.
Serving up classic French pastries and cafe favorites with an island twist, the menu is full of dishes you’re sure to love — from pastries, salads, sandwiches to traditional French dinners.
But perhaps the most popular dishes are their signature crepes and eggs benedict. With eight varieties of eggs benedict and more than a dozen options for sweet and savory crepes, you can’t go wrong with either of these French classics.
Pastries include croissants in a variety of flavors, scones, quiche, fruit tarts, sticky buns, and lilikoi merangue. Our mouths are already watering just thinking about all of the heavenly food you’ll find at this lovely little French restaurant.
Everywhere you look, you’ll find charming details and quaint decor. Doesn’t this sweet man look like he could have been ripped straight from the pages of your favorite childhood storybook?
This little gem has become a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why. The setting is positively gorgeous, the ambiance is both cozy and charming, and the food is absolutely to-die-for. It truly doesn’t get better than this.
