You all know the saying – “there is no such thing as a stupid question,” right? Well, I don’t think that is a very accurate statement, especially when you look at all of the crazy and perhaps idiotic questions tourists have asked about Hawaii. I’m honestly not sure how I would answer any of these 11 questions if someone were to ask them in person.
Considering Hawaii is the 50th state in America, you actually don’t need a passport. Go figure. It’s funny how often people forget that Hawaii is part of America.
English. Though, to be fair, the Hawaiian language is still used for many purposes. But no one really exclusively speaks Hawaiian anymore.

And coconut bras, obviously. In case you couldn’t tell, that was sarcastic - we wear normal clothes in Hawaii, though we do dress much more casually than the rest of the country.

As a matter of fact, no – most Hawaii residents live in houses, apartment buildings, or townhomes.
Believe it or not, yes. With more than 1 million residents, and a great deal of business and industry, Hawaii would be lost without access to the internet or cellular communications.

Have you ever seen a movie or television show based in Hawaii? We drive cars. And, believe it or not, Honolulu has the worst traffic in the country, second to only Los Angeles.
Yep, because that’s how land masses work. In all seriousness, did the people who ask this question ever get through elementary school?
Even more ridiculous, "how long is the bridge that connects the islands?" As the most isolated population center on earth located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, there is literally no way to maintain bridges between the islands. The bridge pictured connects Ford Island, which is a small islet to Oahu, and is 4,672 feet long.

How many times do we need to remind tourists that Hawaii is, in fact, part of the United States? We don’t use shells as currency, I promise.
While I love me some coconut water, we usually just drink plain, old, regular water.
Or, better yet, "does the water go all the way around the island?"
