While Hawaii is known for its over 700-miles of spectacular coastline, it can be hard to choose the perfect beach to sprawl out on and soak up the sun. This summer, head to Papohaku Beach on the western end of Molokai for the best spot to relax on the longest beach in our state. We’ll bet you didn’t know that one of the longest beaches could be found on one of the smallest islands, but at 3-miles of stunning sand, Papohaku Beach is one of the biggest and best. Next time you’re on Molokai, make sure to carve out some time to relax upon Papohaku Beach.
Papohaku Beach is located on the western side of Molokai, and most might not know this, but it's Hawaii's longest beach hiding upon this small island. It's also 100 yards wide, making for a stunning scene.
While there are tons of beaches to choose from on Hawaii's coastline, this one is the best for a long walk or to sprawl out upon, as the shorebreak can be quite dangerous if you were to get in.
Another fun fact about Papohaku Beach is that it used to be home to a sand mining operation. There's so much history upon this shore, it's the perfect spot to sit and reflect.
Of course, this beach isn't just good for laying out. It also is home to campsites, showers, and restrooms, so you'll have all of the amenities you need.
