The Hawaiian Islands are known for pristine beaches in a variety of colors, lush scenery, towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, and booming tourism industry. You might be surprised to learn, however, that you can find a variety of other industries and agriculture in the Aloha State, including but not limited to the production of coffee, chocolate, macadamia nuts, and other consumer products. For an up-close and personal glimpse into one of Hawaii’s most unique industries — bath and body products — a visit to the North Shore Soap Factory is in order.
The North Shore Soap Factory is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours cost between $10 and $17 per person, last at least 30 minutes, and can be booked online.
