After college, she chose to trade in her winter boots for slippahs and moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, where she has been living for more than five years. She lives on the west side but is constantly taking mini-road trips across the island and visits the neighboring islands whenever she can getaway. She loves hiking, snorkeling, locally-grown coffee, and finding the best acai bowl on Oahu.
Merriman’s just might be the most famous name in the Hawaiian restaurant world, with several scrumptious restaurants from Ko Olina to Kapalua that showcase island-grown and harvested foods that reflect the myriad of flavors found throughout the Hawaiian Islands. And while we love all of Merriman’s restaurants, we’re particularly enamored with this new pop-up dining experience in Honolulu.
Bringing Hawaii Regional Cuisine to hungry locals in Kaka’ako during these unprecedented times, Merriman’s Street Burger & Beer Garden is outdoor dining at its finest.
This grill-centric pop-up restaurant promises tasty burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and so, so much more. Will you be ordering the Umami burger, the rosemary grilled eggplant sandwich, or Moroccan fresh fish sandwich?
Daily specials vary, but options include indulgences like lobster pot pie, hirabara kale salad, or a locally caught grilled monchong sandwich, just to name a few. The specials are available online, so be sure to check out their website before you go!
Try the Mexican street corn, caesar salad, or New England clam chowder with bacon for something new or stick with a classic like their parmesan truffle fries. Their housemade chips and fresh watermelon and pineapple are made for dining outdoors.
A socially distanced meal pairs perfectly with a glass of wine, craft cocktail, or a local brew from Paradise Ciders or Waikiki Brewing company, so order a can, sit back, and enjoy.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to enjoy in-person dining again, need another excuse to get out of the house, or want to support local business, a visit to Merriman’s Street Burger & Beer Garden is in order.
