Head on out to the lighthouse, and if you’re in season, keep your eyes peeled for migrating humpback whales!
Many people take to the sea when visiting Oahu, but there are plenty of amazing hikes to do, too.
Whether you want to stroll along inside the rainforest or hike along the coastline, there’s something for everyone. And we personally love a great view!
The Makapu'u Point Lighthouse Trail is a stunning hike that takes you up the cliffside to an observation deck and lighthouse.
That’ll give you plenty of time to take in the sights and rest when it gets too hot. November through May you may just spot a migrating humpback whale, so keep your eyes peeled!
There’s plenty of parking available at the start of the trail.
You may want to come early morning or late afternoon to beat the heat of the day and make sure you get a parking spot. This is a popular place to visit.
