With more than 10 years of experience as a professional writer, Megan holds a degree in Mass Media from her home state of Minnesota. After college, she chose to trade in her winter boots for slippahs and moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, where she has been living for more than five years. She lives on the west side but is constantly taking mini-road trips across the island and visits the neighboring islands whenever she can getaway. She loves hiking, snorkeling, locally-grown coffee, and finding the best acai bowl on Oahu.
Though Hawaii is one of America’s smallest states, there are still plenty of undeveloped gems to discover throughout the islands, including countless incredible farms and ranches. Even on Hawaii’s most populated island will you find rural farms that are worthy of a visit. Nestled on Oahu’s picturesque north shore, Kahuku Farms is home to a magical farm cafe that you need to add to your Hawaii dining bucket list.
Nestled on the northeastern tip of Oahu near the north shore’s famous shrimp trucks, Kahuku Farms grows and harvest everything from acai and kale to sunflowers and cacao.
You will also find an array of refreshing treats, from farm-harvested ice creams and sorbets to thirst-quenching mango iced tea and delicious fresh fruit smoothies.
Don't forget to stock up on your favorite Kahuku Farms products while you're here. The gift center is home to a variety of culinary creations as well as bath and body products, like hand sanitizer, body cream, and more.
You can also take a tour of the farm Friday through Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Not able to make it up to the farm? You can buy Kahuku Farms products and produce at the KCC Farmers’ Market each Saturday.
Kahuku Farms is located at 56-800 Kamehameha Hwy, Kahuku, HI 96731, and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. They are closed Tuesdays. For more information, visit their website.
