After college, she chose to trade in her winter boots for slippahs and moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, where she has been living for more than five years. She lives on the west side but is constantly taking mini-road trips across the island and visits the neighboring islands whenever she can getaway. She loves hiking, snorkeling, locally-grown coffee, and finding the best acai bowl on Oahu.
Is there really anything better on a hot, summer day than a scoop of homemade ice cream? Sure, there’s shave ice, but sometimes you just need to satisfy a craving for creamy, delicious ice cream. So, in an attempt to showcase the best ice cream across the island of Oahu, we’ve created the ultimate weekend indulgence for you and your family or friends: a magnificent and mouthwatering ice cream trail.
Our itinerary starts in Kapolei and ends in Honolulu, but you can complete this epic ice cream trail backward or customize it around your weekend plans. Clocking in at three hours of drive time and nearly 100 miles, this mouthwatering trail will take you to eight of Oahu’s best ice cream shops. So, grab your best friends, pile in the car, and sample all of the delicious ice cream our fine island has to offer (Just a note: We suggest sharing ice cream at each stop amongst your friends, because I’m not sure anyone can realistically eat eight entire servings of ice cream in one day and not die from a sugar overdose…)
