Waipahu Is One Of Hawaii's Best Halloween Towns To Visit This Fall
Located in the center of Oahu south of the H-1 freeway and north of Pearl Harbor’s West Loch is the city of Waipahu, one of Hawaii’s most dangerous cities. The city is also home to the Hawaii Plantation Village, an outdoor history museum that transforms into a terrifying Halloween attraction every October. The village tells the story of the island’s sugar cane workers and life on the plantation circa 1850 to 1950, as well as the history of immigration to Hawaii. It features restored buildings, replicas of various plantation structures, and a quite a few ghosts as well. Yep, this Halloween attraction is actually haunted. Don’t miss this spooky event: the Haunted Plantation will be open October 11,12,13,18,19,20,25,26,27, from 7 to 11 p.m., and Halloween night from 7 to 9 p.m. Address: 94-695 Waipahu Street, Waipahu, HI, 96797. General admission is $15. You can also pay $20 for fast passes, or $30 for VIP tickets, which allows you access to two secret rooms. There are no presale tickets, and once capacity is met, you will be turned away: the ticket booth accepts cash only and opens at 6:15 p.m. before the haunt opens at 7 p.m.
