Today, the coral reef found at Turtle Town is abundant with the Hawaiian green sea turtle, as well as a variety of brightly colored tropical fish and other unique marine animals, including manta rays, octopus, eels, spinner dolphins, and even white-tip reef sharks (don’t worry, they’re tiny and not dangerous).

Before you head out, you will receive a personalized lesson about water safety, ocean kayaking, and the best spots to check out!
You will also be given life jackets and waterproof fish identification cards to help you recognize Maui’s marine life while on the water. Curious kiddos will love identifying as many different fish species as they can.

You don't even need to do any of the heavy lifting! The tandem kayaks are brought to the water for you, and you'll even have help launching your kayak through the surf and landing when you're done!
The kayaks provided are easy to use and stable on the water. And unlike traditional kayaking, where adventurers might grow tired from the constant paddling if they aren’t used to the movement, the views are even better when you slow down to enjoy them!
Kayak rentals are done in two-hour increments, from 7 to 9 a.m., from 8 to 10 a.m., and from 9 to 11 a.m. Why are kayak adventures only offered in the morning, you ask? That’s when you’ll find the most marine activity. Oh, and the fact that the winds are lighter and the waves aren’t as choppy certainly helps, too.
