The United States’ involvement in World War II was extremely profound, but perhaps nowhere was the war more impactful than in Hawaii, especially considering the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It’s no surprise that the island of Oahu is home to several incredible memorials, museums and monuments commemorating the massive sacrifice made during World War II.

And while we feel deep sorrow while visiting the USS Arizona Memorial, and intense fascination while exploring the USS Battleship Missouri floating museum, there’s one museum so unique it deserves its own feature: the Home of the Brave Brewseum.

Part World War II museum, part bar and 100 percent unique, the Brewseum is perhaps one of Kaka’ako’s best kept secrets, and an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves history - and beer.
