With little more than 1,200 residents, the sleepy town of Hana is one of Hawaii’s most remote places to visit. Located on Maui’s southern shore, Hana is reachable only by the long, winding road that is Hana Highway. Featuring 59 bridges and 620 curves through lush jungle, the infamous 64.4-mile Road to Hana that stretches from Kahului to Hana is popular not for the destination but for the incredible journey it takes to get there. But we’d like to think there are some hidden gems to uncover in Hana, like Braddah Hutt’s BBQ Grill, a truly magnificent hole-in-the-wall eatery that serves up some of the best plate lunches you’ll find in all of Hawaii.
