It’s not just the large cities in the Peach State that have great food! If you’ve done much traveling here, you’re likely aware of how many wonderful small towns in Georgia there are. They’re full of charm, history, and cool landmarks that are worth a visit, but many of them are also home to some great restaurants. One of our favorite small foodie towns in Georgia is Waynesboro. The little city in Burke County has just under 6,000 people in it, and it’s also home to some amazing food. Here’s just a small sampling of some of the best restaurants in Waynesboro, GA:
Taylor's Bar-B-Que is a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. It's located in an old house that's been converted into a restaurant, and there's a big variety of dishes on the menu, so you can try something new each time you come. It's an old-fashioned country restaurant with tons of vegetables and, of course, amazing barbecue.
If it's a sweet baked good, you'll find it here! Pineland's cookies and brownies are legendary, and the cakes and fruit-filled pastries are oh-so-delicious, too.
Good Day Cafe is a casual cafe with a charming atmosphere. You'll feel like family when you're dining here. Good Day Cafe has quite the array of food on the menu. It can get a little busy, but there are some excellent drinks available at the bar, so grab a cocktail and relax while waiting for your food.
El Toro Taqueria brings international flair to small-town Georgia with a menu full of Mexican-inspired delights. The patio is perfect for an outdoor fiesta. The food is fresh and high-quality, and you can expect to find all the staples you'd hope for at a Mexican restaurant.
Georgia seafood is world-famous and Brown's Quality Seafood lives up to its name, serving only the freshest and best seafood around. There's a fresh market if you'd like to buy fish to cook at home, but the restaurant menu is delicious. We definitely recommend grabbing a meal here and saving yourself the trouble of playing chef for a night.
