There’s no shortage of beautiful churches in Georgia. We’ve got plenty of historical ones in small towns that show off amazing architectural brilliance, and it doesn’t get much more beautiful than the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Savannah. One under-appreciated church that we think doesn’t gets enough love is the stunning Christ Church Episcopal on St. Simon’s Island. Even if you aren’t particularly religious, there’s something incredible about this building that gives visitors a sense of peace and tranquility when on the premises.
For more information about this stunning church in Georgia, check out the Christ Church Frederica website. There are tours available during the week if you’re interested in seeing the church but don’t want to attend a sermon.
