Looking for a fun road trip in Georgia? Look no further, we’ve got a great one that only requires a couple of hours in the car. This trip follows the mighty Chattahoochee River as it winds its way through the northeast portion of the Peach State. It’s such a pretty drive and you’ll get to stop by a number of wonderful destinations!
This trip won't require too much driving and can be accomplished in a couple of days. You can check out the customizable itinerary on Google Maps. The entire trip is under 50 miles of driving, so you won't go through too much gas!

Helen is one of our favorite small towns in Georgia. The outskirts of the city are filled with brilliant greenery, beautiful mountains, and flowing waterfalls. Helen's downtown area is styled after a traditional Bavarian village that'll have you feeling like you were magically transported to Germany.

Mossy Creek Park is actually not technically a full park, but it's definitely good for some fun! It's a great little natural swimming hole in Lula with areas for wading. You'll also find a few short trails through the nearby woods.

You'll end your trip at the Atlanta Botanical Garden - not the Atlanta branch, but the Gainesville one. There are regular exhibits here and tons of cute nature trails that are especially enjoyable for kids. You can learn more at the garden's website.
