One of our favorite hobbies is antique shopping. There’s nothing more fun than searching for treasures amongst items at an antique shop or thrift store. You never know what you’ll find, and at a store with a big selection, it almost feels like visiting a museum! Next time you’re looking to seek out some vintage furniture, clothes, or decor, look no further than the antiques capital of Georgia: Monroe. This small city has a population of around 16,000 and boasts several fantastic thrift and antiques stores that are just perfect for hunting down whatever you’re in search of. Here are a few of our favorite spots to go antique shopping:

The Cotton Depot is an antique mall located in an old mill. There are lots of booths specializing in everything from wedding decor to locally-produced artwork, and, of course, antiques.
Vintage Revival Antiques is the anchor store at The Cotton Depot. In addition to used and new home decor items and furniture, you can also pick up architectural antiquities like barn wood and old doorknobs!
