This is one of the best playgrounds in Georgia, and it’s an ideal spot to let the little ones get their energy out. The park features a wonderful playground, a short trail, a beautiful mural, and even has a seasonally-open “sprayground” area that’s like a mini-water park. Check it out:

The neighborhood has quite the history. The Elizabeth Porter Recreation Center, nicknamed "the Canteen" once stood here. Prior to the opening of integrated Kennestone Hospital in 1950, the neighborhood also housed the Cobb County Cooperative Negro Hospital.
