There’s no shortage of great restaurants in Georgia, whether you’re looking for quick grab-and-go fast food or something a little more elegant for an upscale date night. One fine dining restaurant in Atlanta is truly unique, though: The Consulate. This spot opened up in 2016 and has a gorgeous interior and a delicious menu that will always keep you guessing as to what’s next. It’s unlike anywhere else in the state, and each visit is like an international flight for your taste buds. Check it out:
The Consulate is right in Midtown Atlanta, and it doesn't look particularly noteworthy from the outside. It almost looks like yet another office building, but this is one spot you don't want to pass by!
Enter and you'll find a beautiful interior, decorated with vintage furniture. The overall ambiance is incredibly classy, but not so elegant as to be off-putting.
The Consulate's regular menu spans the globe, with selections from China, Turkey, Korea, and more. You'll find plenty of vegetarian and vegan selections, making this a great option for mixed groups of diners.
The really special part of The Consulate's menu, however, is the "Visa" section. Every 90 days, a guest will spin a globe and point their finger on a particular country. Where ever their finger lands, that will be the focus of the Visa menu for the next three months.
