Each state has a different set of residents that make up its unique population. For Georgia, there is a wide variety of people that range from the Suburban family dwellers to the ranch hand that runs his/her own homestead. It’s these different types of folks that make up this beautiful state we love, and undoubtedly make Georgia….well, Georgia. Have a look at the types of people you’ll meet in Georgia and ask yourself, which one are you?
The Suburban Family can be found on the outskirts of any major city, soaking up the suburb life. Maybe they started out in the city and wanted to settle down, or perhaps they were ready to start a family. These folks enjoy the quiet life, and probably more nights in than out.
This type of Georgian works with his or her hands and is proud of it. They might have their own homestead, or even the now-trendy urban farm. Regardless, they enjoy raising their own crops and love waking up with the sun.
Whether or not they have that soooothing Southern drawl is irrelevant. These charmers, male and female alike, use their wit, charm and Southern hospitality to win over anybody they encounter.
More often than not, these kids are either glued to their books, their phones, or their friends. Some study hard, some hardly study. But either way, they choose to work in local cafes and bookstores rather than in their dorms.
Hunters in Georgia are all around us. They like to participate for sport, or for food. Normally, hunters like to pass on their hobby through each generation, teaching their kids the tricks of the trade.
In Georgia, there are plenty of die-hard sports fans. Those types of people paint their faces and rock their faded, seen-better-times jerseys each weekend. They are the people that would miss their niece's baptism for a bowl game.
Believe it or not, they still exist! There are some Southern Belles out there in Georgia that still are prim and proper, and have a knack for manners and being polite. They are hospitable and welcoming, and maintain a level of poise at all times.
These are the people that will get up and run as often as it allows. They will go hiking, trail running, biking through the city, and participate in every race they can get their hands on. They love breaking a sweat no matter the temperature—no matter the weather.
The Cowboy and Cowgirl in Georgia love their trusty steed and can rock a cowboy hat like no other. They love living the lifestyle—chaps, spurs and all.
They hike the Appalachian and the Blue Ridge Mountains as often as they can. Being in the wild makes them feel alive, which is why they prefer to camp in these desolate mountaintops over living the urban life any day.
This will be the person you meet most frequently. They hold open doors, greet you with a smile, and are willing to offer a helping hand. The Kindhearted Georgians are the best people in all of Georgia, and we're always happy to have them.
